March networking for the Safer Pet Team

As the world starts to recover from the pandemic, the Team enjoyed being able to physically go along to some pet shows. Sales Director, Mike Steere, visited Crufts at Birmingham NEC and PATS at Sandown.

“Crufts was great. As a show it covered a wide variety of products and services, and it was great to be able to physically walk through the exhibition, meet vendors, handle their products and see if it was something we would want to be involved in.

There seemed to be a lot of stands based on food and treats and many which have popped up through covid. The regular exhibitors said that the footfall fell well short of pre-covid levels, but I still found the event busy and rewarding.

It was great to meet with existing partners, make new contacts and link up with other potential collaborators.”

Mike also went along to PATS, which is a trade event in Sandown. The event attracts businesses from the pet industry and is a great opportunity to look at what else is on the market.

“PATS is a smaller event compared to Crufts. Spread across two halls at Sandown Racecourse, this trade show offered me a great insight into the wholesale market. I met with some interesting contacts and suppliers. Being able to discuss products directly with company buyers is great and was a fantastic opportunity to look at expanding our collaborations.

What has come out of attending both events was a keen interest from our side to work with businesses who will complement our messaging. We also look forward to returning next year and possibly exhibiting at some shows in the future.”

Safer Pet are looking forward to attending more shows and exhibitions domestically and internationally. As we continue to grow, we are always looking for ways to improve our services, so we look forward to bringing you new collaborations and products in the future.
